Firefighters Save A Life Fund is working to change that. Instead of donating to victims’ funds, our organization is working to raise funds to purchase life-saving Thermal Imaging Cameras for local fire departments. These cameras give “the gift of sight” and enable firefighters to see through dense smoke to rescue people and avoid dangerous situations.
We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit all-volunteer organization. At least 85 cents of every dollar goest towards the purchase of the cameras. We are asking for your donations and support to help protect those people who put their lives on the line for others again and again. Our firefighters.
Special Announcement
In 2005 more than $56,000 was spent for thermal imaging cameras or given to fire department to purchase cameras. Over ninety-eight cents of every dollar went to TICs.
Since we started in late 2002, we have raised over $130,000 and helped to provide twenty eight TICs to America's firefighters. Dozens of other TICs have been purchased because of our raising the awareness to the community and firefighters as to the cameras many benefits.
A Special thanks to The Long Foundation, Wal-Mart, and the hundreds of others who have supplied the capital needed to perform our task and to MSA, Mallory Fire, and L. N. Curtis for the discounts they provide. |
